Los Robles is situated on a wonderful spot to enjoy a peaceful and relaxing holiday where all you can hear is the breeze humming through the lush oak, ash, chestnut and eucalyptus trees, and the occasional sight of eagles hovering above. The village of San Roman is 4km away, here you can find a traditional village shop selling all sort of bits and pieces for daily needs. Bigger supermarkets and more services can be found in the village of Penilla, 6km away which has shops, restaurants, a chemist and a bank.

The nature reserve of Cabarceno is just 15km away and this is truly worth a visit, especially for families with children; they will certainly enjoy the lions as well as all the other rare animals that are on view. Santander is 26km away offering a good selection of beaches, such as Sardinero.

For those interested in the local gastronomy, we highly recommend ‘La Venta de Castañeda’, in the village of Castañeda, 5km from the house which specializes in the delicious typical ‘Cocido Montañes’.

Los Robles is entered through a spacious veranda equipped with comfortable garden furniture and a barbecue. As you step in the house, you enter the lounge with a sofa and armchairs around the cast iron fireplace (wood can be provided, free of charge, by the owner ) and TV; there is also a dining table with chairs for 6. On the left is the well equipped kitchen with ceramic hob and electric oven, washing machine, dishwasher, microwave oven, and fridge freezer. On the right is a corridor leading to a double bedroom, a bathroom with both bath and shower, and adjacent to this a second bedroom with 3 single beds. Beside the property is a garden shed which contains gardening equipment and logs.
