Within walking distance of the large medieval village of Palaia, Fonte is the former residence of a charming local family, who have now restored their much loved property to offer a comfortable and attractive holiday home. The bright and airy ground floor sitting room with billiard table and dining table is decorated in a traditional Italian country style with whitewashed walls and terracotta floors and country pieces. The sofas are upholstered in pretty chintz and ceramics add a personal touch. An arch from the sitting room leads through to the dining room with a fireplace and French windows to the garden. There is also a kitchen at this level. At the first floor level, the four bedrooms are also decorated in this traditional Italian country style with pretty fabrics and views out over the beautifully maintained lawned gardens.

Guests can enjoy local specialities under the covered dining terrace and there is also a second outdoor dining area with BBQ/oven for barbecue enthusiasts! The lawned gardens with distinctive verdant cypresses and other mature trees lead gently to the large pool nestling in a sheltered spot amongst silvery green olive trees. From here there are idyllic views over the surrounding countryside with its patchwork cornfields, olive groves and vineyards beautiful panoramic views of the countryside.
