The Elf Cottage is a very special property in Italy- with its atmospheric and thoughtful design it is a quite unique place to stay. Legend has it that once a clan of Elves lived in this same village showing themselves only to a select few.
This cottage dates from the 17th century and has been restored to a good standard, split level with a loft. With windows looking to the sea on one side and woods to the other, who knows, perhaps one might still glimpse an Elf going about its business!
The house is decorated in light colours on the ground level with the colours gradually getting darker towards the upper levels. There are other subtle touches but the end result is a pleasurable experience on the senses.
The property itself is located in the peaceful hamlet of Casesi in an elevated hillside position with glorious views below, including over the beautiful Puccini Lake. The well maintained gardens come complete with a small gazebo and sitting area leading to a swimming pool at the rear of the property.
It is possible to walk into the centre of the hamlet where there is just one simple store, or a short drive to Corsanico for a butchers, post office and pharmacy. The coast or the historic towns of Lucca and Pisa are possible in less than thirty minutes, Florence in one hour.

Sleeps 6, 3 bedrooms - 3 shower rooms, 1 bathroom, 4 WCs, private 7m x 5m swimming pool, Impressive views over surrounding hillside and Puccini lake.
Ground Floor: Open plan living room (TV/Video/DVD), shower room, stairs leading up.
First Floor: Rustic style kitchen, dining area with seating for six people, double bedroom with adjoining shower room. From this level are two spiral staircases leading to a double bedroom with ensuite bathroom
and a further double bedroom with ensuite shower room .
Grounds: Small well kept garden area with olive trees, lemon bushes and gazebo. 7m x 5m swimming pool with outside sitting/dining area, pizza oven and built in BBQ. The pool is slightly overlooked by a neighbouring property.
Please note that it is not possible to park immediately outside the property, but a short walk away. There are some open tread spiral staircases within the property, care should be taken with young children.
