Located midway between the historic cities of Florence and Siena, in the region known as Barberino Val d' Elsa, lays the property Castello Fusi. This elegant property has origins dating back to the 11th century and has a colourful history, clearly in evidence to those who stay here.
This villa is a classical exhibition of Lorenese architecture in its design, comparable to the Medici villas of the 15th century. From its hilltop position, there are good views in all directions across surrounding vineyards and olive groves.
The décor is traditional Italian, with floral patterns and some bathrooms in mosaic. Pieces of art and antiques dating back over the centuries adorn the property. Each bedroom is individually named, one with a balcony. There is a large dining area and well equipped kitchen, perfect for evening dinner parties; the estate staff can arrange chef and other services as requested.
Located to the rear of the villa with its own independent access (however also being accessible from inside the villa if required) is a small self contained apartment sleeping an additional four persons, available at a supplement. This additional accommodation may suit a nanny or two families traveling together for example.

Grounds: The Castello has private enclosed grounds, including an elegant garden and lawns, shaped private swimming pool (13m x 6m) and of 1.50m in depth. Portable BBQ, outside dining facilities. There are estate staff in residence (who look after the Castello and its grounds in between rentals) to the rear of the property, however their presence is unobtrusive and with entirely separate access. Also located on the estate are several small holiday apartments also rented by the property owner of Castello Fusi, however these have independent access and their own facilities. Their presence is unobtrusive to guests of Castello Fusi.
