There are very few houses with private pools around the lovely, unspoilt village of Methoni hence we are delighted to be able to offer Meli (sister property to Petra). Being situated just 1.5km outside the village means that this well appointed house is also within walking distance of the sandy beach, general store and picturesque seafront tavernas of Methoni itself. Meli is a good size home for four people, furnished with care and decorated in an attractive, welcoming combination of beige, white and pastel shades. The walls of the roomy living area are adorned with large, colourful artwork, a modern open plan kitchen/diner sits to one side and doors lead out onto a covered terrace overlooking the pool and garden. Upstairs, the two bedrooms also have access onto a shared front terrace where eye-catching views towards the hiltop Venetian fortress, Methoni itself and out across the Messinian Gulf can be enjoyed. The attractive garden, lawn and private swimming pool area will surely be the centre of holiday activity however the lovely beach and quintessential Greek village of Methoni are just a short stroll away. The coastline of the Messinian Gulf is a magnet for lovers of unspoilt beaches and traditional villages and there is also a wealth of of archaeological sites to be discovered such as Nestor's Cave which is mentioned in Homer's Odyssey, as well as the impressive castles at Pylos and Koroni which are each about a fifteen minute drive.
