The quiet village of Perigiali lies just 700 metres away down on the coast, with its own small beach called Passa. Fishing boats tie up at the village quayside, virtually guaranteeing a pleasant meal of fresh fish at one of the waterside tavernas. The busy and cosmopolitan town of Nidri is 2 kilometres down the coast, well worth a visit. The beauty of its setting cannot be denied however, and it is the setting-off point for some wonderful boat trips, and definitely a place for yacht spotting.
