Nektarios is a beautiful, substantially built house nestled on a gently sloping hillside at the end of a short, country track just outside the village of Pemonia. This is a wonderful location offering not only easy access to the coast and good local amenities but, quite simply, some of the most stunning rural views we have seen on this magnificent island. From the various house terraces and spacious, landscaped grounds an unbroken panorama encompasses swathes of undulating countryside lined with regimented rows of olive trees, vineyards interspersed with copses of cypress trees, the White Mountains in the west, the Psiloritis Mountains to the east, the town of Tzitzifes and the town of Fres whose twin domed chapel can clearly be seen rising above the rooftops. Comfortably furnished and decorated with care and taste, visitors will find Nektarios the ideal property in which to relax and enjoy summer living at its best. Indigenous materials have been used wherever possible in the house construction hence ceilings boast substantial beams, floors are a combination of quality hardwood boards or highly polished, green-tinged tiles and walls in several rooms are eye-catchingly finished with exposed stone. Large glass doors open onto a shaded terrace which overlooks the pool, allowing the expansive views to become a natural, unmissable ‘extension’ to the airy living/dining room. The kitchen is bright and well fitted, each of the three bedrooms enjoys an ensuite bath or shower room and all rooms benefit from independently controlled air conditioning, ideal for when summer temperatures are at their peak. Surrounded by lawn and extensive sun terracing the family-friendly, private swimming pool, with its wider than average Roman steps, is destined to be the centre of holiday activity.
