This pretty spot also makes an ideal starting point from which to enjoy wonderful days out visiting the many picture-postcard villages dotted around this appealing region. Both internally and externally you will find Pericles a comfortable, well-appointed holiday base. Décor throughout is fresh and welcoming, kitchen and bathrooms boast modern fixtures and fittings while the split-level living/dining room is comfortably furnished with doors and several large windows, looking out to the well-maintained gardens, making this a particularly bright and airy space. New for 2008, air conditioning has been thoughtfully installed in the living room and sleeping accommodation. Outside, there is no shortage of terrace space in which to enjoy the sunshine. Surrounding the house are various spacious patios accessed from the living room, kitchen and each of the three bedrooms. The covered terrace off the kitchen looks out to the swimming areas, and, as such, is conveniently placed to keep a watchful eye on younger party members who will undoubtedly be enjoying their own dedicated swimming pool sitting immediately alongside, but clearly designated from the main pool by a solid, protective fence. Completing the picture, the substantial brick barbecue with its adjacent dining terrace, shaded by parasols, means that many a day can easily be spent simply idling away the time in this charming and pastoral retreat. A little over 1km away, the village of Adele hosts a mini-market and a couple of traditional tavernas while a walk of 1.5km brings you to the cosmopolitan seaside village of Platanias where, apart from the lovely beach, you will find a comprehensive selection of grocery stores, café-bars, pizzerias and tavernas
