The property lies just 2km to the south of the mediaeval village of Trets with its historic centre within the remains of its ramparts which have mostly been converted into dwellings. From the property a 25 minute walk takes you to the village; it has several restaurants and cafés and shady boulevards as well as its midweek market. The town of Aix-en-Provence, with its ancient centre is less than a half-hour drive. This bustling university town offers boutiques, cafés and restaurants which spill out onto the shady boulevards and squares. An enormous amount of beautiful countryside and interesting places to visit are within easy reach of this area: such as the Lubéron, Marseilles and the Côte Bleue or the Calanques and the Côte Varoise to the south, and the Camargue to the west.
