Set in an elevated position with extensive views over the Luberon, La Chenaie is a modern house, built in the traditional Provencal style, that sits in its own grounds near the picturesque village of Cabrieres d'Avignon, between Isle sur la Sorgue and Gordes, and is named after the many oak trees which are to be found within the grounds. Cabrieres d'Avignon, a cheracterful village with some wonderfully restored old stone houses and village shops, is just 1 km away.

The villa has been built in a traditional style, yet with every modern convenience. The white walls and tiled floors provide a cool interior to the house. On the ground floor there is a cloakroom and an open-plan country style kitchen with sunny yellow units which leads on to the dining area. The kitchen is well equipped with a ceramic hob, oven, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine and dryer. The living room is furnished with comfortable white sofas and there are colourful pieces of contemporary art on the walls. There is satellite television and a hi-fl system. Sliding doors lead from the living room on to a covered shaded terrace which has a table seating six and is perfect for al fresco dining, overlooking the gardens, pool and terraces. Also on the ground floor there is a double bedroom with an attractive white, wrought iron bedstead. It has a full bathroom en suite and double doors opening on to a terrace overlooking the garden and the swimming pool.
On the first floor of the house, with wonderful views over the surrounding country as far as the Montagne du Luberon, there are two further bedrooms. Both are twin bedded rooms and each has a shower room en suite.
The swimming pool measures 9 x 4m and has Roman steps at one end. It sits amongst furnished terraces below the house, there is also a shower area. From the terraces there are wonderful views over the surrounding countryside.
