Villa Paradou is a large stone built Mas dating from the 17th century, fully restored to a high standard, retaining many original features. The typical Provencal style with flagstone floors in some of the rooms creates a cool and airy ambience. Other marvellous features include a 7 metre high fireplace and a minstrels gallery.

The house is located in a beautiful part of Provence known as ‘Van Gogh country’ for its sunflowers and olive trees. The surrounding area has plenty to do, which may include visiting the wetlands of Camargue (one of Europe’s most important nature reserves), golf courses (Les Baux-de-Provence 3miles, Mouries 15 mins, Nimes 25 mins) or riding, cycling and walking in the Alpilles hills. For visitors seeking more relaxing pastimes, there is a Roman amphitheatre in Arles to visit, the necropolis of Alyscamps, a Van Gogh museum at St Remy and various annual music festivals in Aix-en-Provence and Orange.

Ground floor: Large sitting room with windows looking onto the courtyard, stairs lead down to dining room with an open plan rustic Provencal kitchen and large fireplace. Music room, (TV/DVD/CD) vaulted ceiling, french doors to the garden. Small reading room with access to garden, guest WC.
First Floor: A Chinese style twin/double bedroom (1.80m or 2x0.90m) with adjacent bathroom overlooking the garden. A Provencal style twin bedroom (0.90m) with ensuite shower room with walk-in stone shower and WC.(Please note there is a low beam in this room). Master double bedroom (1.80m) ensuite bathroom with separate shower cubicule and a dressing area.
Grounds: Partially enclosed with lawned areas and a large shaded patio with outdoor dining for 12. Pool house with summer kitchen, barbecue, fridge, shower, WC. There are 5 bicycles (use at own risk). The house adjoins a neighbouring property, but it is completely private - private parking.
