Between vineyards, sunflowers and maize, the landscape undulates revealing the best of countryside around St Genis and also along the Gironde estuary. The village of St Genis offers good services including several shops and two restaurants, but you should definitely explore some of the surroundings: we particularly recommend the Gironde coast on this part of the estuary – it is certainly the nicest. The coastal villages of Talmont and Meschers are fun to explore and are on the way are to Royan. Also less famous but worth seeing are the small ports of Mortagne sur Gironde or Port Maubert – ideal for strolling around for half a day with a possible stop in one of the restaurants or bars in front of the pleasure boats.
This area is more than anything the Cognac area and many producers will welcome you into their vineyards for tasting and buying. If you prefer wine, Blaye is very close and has easy access via the coast.

This stone house stands in a peaceful hamlet. You enter into the kitchen fully equipped with dishwasher, cooker and a microwave. On the left, a doorway leads to the lounge area with TV, DVD and CD player; there is also table and chairs for 6 and comfortable seating. Both rooms have original wooden beams and exposed stone walls. On the right hand side of the kitchen, a door opens into a suite with a double bedroom, separate WC and a bathroom with bath and shower. 
Upstairs, is a bedroom with a double bed and a single bed, a shower room/WC; an extra single bed is in the hallway. The house has a washing machine, dryer and heating.
Outside, the large garden has flowers and even a few vegetables such as tomatoes and peppers that you can pick. The swimming pool is 10m x 5m and the terrace provides shade for great outside meals.

The owner can organise babysitting for you.

In high season (21.07 - 30.08) the property is available for minimum 2 weeks.
