Five minutes’ walk to “Chai” beach and just between the harbour and the lovely Pontaillac beach. Ile d’Oléron, the oyster beds of Marennes and the Zoo at la Palmyre are within easy reach. Or why not take a boat from Royan to the “Pointe de la Grave” to explore the Medoc wine region.
