Le Prieuré Ancien is a delightful 14th Century exposed stone priory, situated next to the church in the hamlet of Pressigny in an enclosed garden with vines, fig trees and beautifully maintained lawns & flowerbeds.

Furnished with antiques and many objet d’art, this priory retains many of its original features, such as the circular stone staircase, wooden floors and beamed ceilings.

L'Atelier Ancien and La Tour Ancienne are situated within the grounds of the Priory but have their own private gardens and outdoor Jacuzzi or plunge pool. The gardens are interconnecting allowing the possibility to book any or all of the properties depending on the size of your group; 8, 10, 14 or maximum 18.

There are no longer any village facilities in Pressigny, but the old church bell still sets the pace for the locals with an hourly chime. Life here is relaxed with an emphasis on good food and wine. The area is open to exploration, within striking distance of the Atlantic coast and La Rochelle, the Chateaux of the Loire Valley, or the wine growing regions of the Dordogne. Ground floor: Living room, dining room, kitchen with breakfast table, TV Room (TV, DVD, Video, Stereo) bathroom, WC.
First floor: Large master bedroom (1.80m), additional single bed (0.90m), ensuite shower with jet-spray system, WC. Double bedroom (4-poster 1.60m), ensuite shower, WC. Double bedroom (1.40m) Twin bedroom (0.90m). An antique day bed can be used in either the master or 4-poster bedrooms, or the TV room to sleep 1 additional person.
Grounds: Enclosed, mature, partly walled gardens. 9 m x 5m pool with ‘swim-against current’ system & solar heated pool shower. Gravelled terrace, lawn, outdoor dining, barbecue. Ample parking.

Maid service: 6 hours per week for the main house.
Extras: Pool heating supplement €150 per week, winter heating, additional maid service on request, no telephone. The owner is a professional chef and would be delighted to prepare meals for you on prior request.
