Champagnac la Rivière is under three miles away for shops, supermarkets and restaurants. Chalus, the mediaeval city, offers even greater choice of shops. The Chateau de Brie, in the Périgord Vert stands at the border of the Dordogne to the south and the Charente to the west, on the famous “Route of Richard the Lion Heart”. Here you will discover amazing chateaux and fortresses, in undulating green countryside with lush, green meadows. Limoges, Angoulême, Périgueux, Brantôme and La Rochefoucaud, are all within easy reach.
The main pool (13 x 7m) is situated between La Vallade and La Garenne. It has gentle Roman steps, a shower and wc in the pool house and is shared between four houses. Shared tennis court under the shade of the trees within the Chateau's grounds. There is a puppet museum in one of the barns. A spectacular medieval feast is organised during the summer months, and there is a bar in the hunting lodge at the entrance of the castle.
