Cuves, just over a mile away has a bakery, small grocery store and café. Also about a mile away ‘Le Moulin de Jean’ is an excellent restaurant. St Pois, slightly further, has a restaurant and more local shops. Brécey, where there is a swimming pool and supermarket is about four miles away along a quiet country road. Also close by (about ten miles) is Lac de Dathée, for sailing and fishing and with a golf course on its banks. St. Sever, 10 miles away for horse riding. About thirty minutes away are safe sandy beaches, at Granville, Jullouville and Carolles Plage, and a little further away is Mont St Michel.

The house is surrounded by over two acres of grounds dotted with fruit trees, with a water meadow and a small stream at the boundary of the property (safe for children as house and garden can be enclosed). Sunny terrace at the front of the house with garden furniture, barbecue and swings, slide and a small sandpit for children. Table tennis and darts in the extension.
