Located only 3 miles from the Spanish border, surrounded by the largest of the Pyrenean mountains, which rise to in excess of 13,000 feet (3404m). Many stay snow capped the whole year despite the house being in the warmest region of France. Situated on the outskirts of a typical Pyrenean village but is only a 3-4 min drive from Bagnères–de–Luchon, a very popular spa town, with numerous restaurants, cafés, shops and supermarkets. Luchon offers the normal full range of mountain activities including paragliding, skiing, canoeing, kayaking, rafting etc in addition to thermal baths, tennis courts, a golf course and a cable car. There is also a small leisure airfield providing light aircraft and glider flights over the stunning surrounding mountains. This property is ideal for summer and winter activities. Although the house is only at an altitude of 560m the cable car in Luchon gives direct access to the ski slopes and high altitude walking. The famous Pyrenean long distance footpath, the GR10, also runs through the village. Both enable access to numerous waterfalls and glacial lakes. Café and swimming lake at Badech 3 min drive.
