Ferme la Salvetat is a delightful 17th century farmhouse, built of local stone and set in 16 acres on the edge of a hamlet with open rural views.

This spacious farmhouse has been refurbished to a very high standard and tastefully furnished with antiques gathered from the owner's travels through Asia and the Middle East, giving the property an exotic flavour.

This region, known as Aveyron, is ideal for walking and cycling. The River Aveyron and the Aveyron Gorge offer opportunities for canoeing and kayaking. The Aveyron’s main town is Millau, now famed for it’s new suspension bridge, an amazing feat of 21st century engineering. The fortified cathedral town of Albi, birthplace of Toulouse Lautrec, is just one hour away and sits on the banks of the River Tarn. Castres is home to the Goya museum.

There are tennis courts and an animal park at nearby Rieupeyroux, which hosts a Sunday market.

Grounds: 16 acres of grounds including 1 hectare of garden. Covered courtyard with barbeque. Large, heated pool has beach entrance – ideal for young children.

Maid service: 4 hours per week included.
