Riaillé is two miles away for basic shopping and Saint Mars la Jaillé is five miles away for more extensive shopping. Close by is something of interest to everyone. Chateaubriant (15 miles) has a château, an interesting town centre and weekly open market. Ancenis, a pleasant town 10 miles away, has a château and an 18 hole golf course. The mediaeval châteaux in Nantes and Angers are worth a day’s visit. Amongst other attractions are the abbey of Mailleraye and the Roman remains of Couffé. La Baule or Pornic only 50 miles away, are ideal for a day at the seaside.

Delightful 12 acre grounds with a small lake with ducks and geese. Shared with another ten cottages, the swimming pool (11x6m) is covered for cool days and opened in the summer, with sun loungers, shared with the other properties on the estate. The Lake of La Provostière (200 acres) is ideal for carp anglers (permits available at reception).
