The house is a private dwelling within a large farm estate. La Bohème is 5km from Verdun Lauragais with a grocery for basics or St Papoul (5km) with a boulangerie. Otherwise, Castelnaudary is 10 minutes drive with full shopping facilities, a market every Monday and bars and restaurants. The magnificent Canal du Midi is classified as a unesco World Heritage site; its water supply comes from St Ferreol Lake, 15km from the house where you can enjoy windsurfing and other water activities. At Castelnaudary you can hire a boat on the Canal without a licence for a few hours.

A gate opens onto the property with access to the paved terrace overlooking the lake arranged with table and chairs; this terrace runs along the house on one side. The large entrance hall has a separate wc to the right, and a utility room with washing machine and fridge. To the left, you enter the large and fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher; this is open plan to the dining area with a farm table with chairs and two French windows opening onto a terrace – one of which has a pergola with more table and chairs. A few steps lead up to the sitting room with several sofas and armchairs, TV, DVD, and French windows to a terrace.

      Upstairs are 3 delightfully decorated bedrooms: two double bedrooms with lake view, one with en-suite shower room/wc, a twin bedroom, a separate wc, and bathroom with bath and shower.  The house has reversible heating air-conditioning and wireless internet broadband.

      Outside is the delightful swimming pool (10m x 5m – depth 0.50 to 1.90m); next to it is a spacious summer kitchen  with table and chairs, sofas to relax in, a plancha to grill food, plus a sink. On the other side is a separate wc and shower room. A door leads from that side of the swimming pool to a little meadow where this gorgeous gypsy van dated from 1930 sits with table and chairs on a terrace.

Inside all is made in wood and colourful material to create a gypsy ambience. The first part has a little kitchenette with fridge, 1 gas hob, a sink; and a sitting space with a sofa and armchair plus little table. The second part is the double bedroom with large 160cm bed.

Outside July and August you can rent the 3 bedroom house without the gypsy van (which will stay empty) at a reduced rate.
