Description
In the Parc Naturel du Languedoc overlooking the valley of the Orb, below the Espinouse mountains and the Gorge d’Heric, two miles from Mons la Trivalle for everyday shopping (butcher, grocer, baker and café-bar), 15 minutes drive to Olargues, one of France’s most beautiful villages and six miles from the spa town of Lamalou-les-Bains for restaurants, shops, casino, 9-hole golf course, tennis courts and riding. The area is well-known for walking, canoeing and kayaking. This is wine-growing country famous also for its cherry orchards, olive and sweet chestnut trees. The beaches at Valras, Vias, Marseillan and the fishing port of Sète are about an hour’s drive away.
The house has stunning views in all directions. It boasts a large terrace with garden furniture and a patio with a retractable awning, handwashbasin, outdoor fridge for drinks and barbecue and table tennis table. The fenced swimming pool (11x5m) has a security alarm and a shower cubicle close by. A boules pitch can be floodlit for a leisurely game in the evenings. The hillside parkland is dotted with cherry and pine trees. Two terraces with scented shrubs and flowering plants to the south side of the property where you can watch the sun go down over the valley.
Highlights
Tastefully decorated and furnished. The kitchen and living room have French windows to the patio and the sunny terrace. The kitchen has a fridge/freezer, built-in electric oven/grill and hob, cooker hood, microwave, dishwasher, and numerous cupboards for kitchen equipment. The living room has a sofa and chairs around the fireplace, oak dining table and chairs, TV (some Sky channels), video, music centre, books, videos, CDs and children’s games. Above the living room there is a galleried area, for quiet relaxation. Three bedrooms (all with full-size wardrobes), one double with en-suite bathroom with bath, shower, basin and wc, another double and a twin. Additional shower room with basin and wc, washing machine and tumble dryer. Separate wc with basin. Cot. Electricity included up to 60kw per week. Bed linen and towels at extra cost payable locally.
