Mon Plaisir is a lovely little modern house situated in the village of Raissac d’Aude but is only 800 metres away from the village of Canet d’Aude that boasts good shops, cafés and restaurants. Located in the Corbiéres region, you are ideally situated to explore both the sandy beaches of the coastline, as well as the inland; here you will find famous wines such as Fitou, Minervois and Corbieres, superb gastronomy and the historical Cathar castles. Narbonne, with its big daily market lying near to its canal (one of the best in France), is only 15 minutes away; Carcassonne and its large beautiful medieval city and castle lies 40 minutes away. Lezignan, famous for its wine and terrific market, is just 15 minutes. Gruissan, a charming seaside resort with traditional fishing village, is the nearest beach at 30 km. The owner leaves 3 bicycles for you to explore the small local pathways that take you to three neighbouring villages; for example go to Ventenac (2.5km) on the Canal du Midi and enjoy lunch or dinner at 'Le Grillabou' or 'Le Castellou' overlooking the water.

A large electrical iron gate gives access to the enclosed property of 1500m2. It has a lovely shaded garden with mature trees and a swimming pool (8.5m x 5m). The garden offers a built-in barbecue and tables and chairs for outdoor meals. You enter the house into a corridor On your left is the dining/sitting room with a sofa, satellite TV, DVD, and a table and chairs that seats 8 people. Adjacent to it, is a pretty little kitchen. Off the sitting room a door leads to the garage in which is a shower room/WC, a dishwasher and washing machine. The corridor leads to three well decorated bedrooms. There are two double bedrooms, and a third bedroom equipped with a double plus a single bed. There is also a shower mom as well as a separate WC. The house has heating and telephone, internet broadband access and air-conditioning.
