The small market town of Montaigu-de-Quercy is only 5 km drive for shops, bars and an exceptionally good twice-weekly market. There are also tennis courts and a recreational lake with swimming, fishing, waterslides, pedaloes, canoes and a restaurant. Larger shops and a good choice of restaurants, cinema, cultural events at Agen 40 km or Cahors 50 km, canoeing or boat hire on the Lot river at Puy l’Evêque or Port de Penne respectively, both 30 km. International airports: Bergerac 78 km/Toulouse 104 km.
An attractive, spacious stone house in a very pretty setting, nestling in a quiet, sunny little valley with attractive views all around. There is a pretty garden that surrounds the pool 10 x 5 x 1.2-2.8m depth with security immersion alarm and roman steps at the shallow end. Sunny open terrace and lawn in front of the house; huge roofed terrace (former barn, open on two sides) provides a large shaded area, with table tennis, close to the pool and ideal for outdoor eating. Although the garden is not fenced, it is easily supervised, and there is scarcely any traffic on the nearby lanes. BBQ. The garden is visible from discreet owners’ holiday cottage but they have their own garden and access at the other side of the buildings.
