Just over three miles from the charming medieval town of Sarlat with its weekly market, shops, restaurants, and annual drama festival and ideally placed for exploring the Dordogne valley and the Périgord Noir.
These very picturesque water mills, which formerly served the nearby Château de la Roussie, stand some fifty yards apart in five acres of woodland and meadows, providing a delightful rural retreat, with the added advantage of a shared fenced swimming pool (5x11m, all one-depth) which has the sun all day. There is a small shallow lake in the grounds without fencing, whereas the mill pond is protected by a low wall and partly fenced although parents should ensure that young children are supervised, there is table tennis and swings. Each house has a patio/eating out area with garden furniture and barbecue. Bed linen available at extra cost payable locally.
The former salt grinding mill, newly redecorated and comfortably furnished in similar rustic style to Le Petit Moulin, has accommodation all on ground floor level. Sitting/dining room with TV, DVD radio/CD player, open fireplace, kitchen with gas hob, oven, microwave, electric kettle, fridge, freezer and dishwasher, bathroom and shower room. Utility room with washing machine. Separate wc. One room with two single beds and two bunk beds and two double bedrooms.
