Under two miles from the picturesque village of Plazac with its boulangerie, café bar, post office, Romano-Gallic church and restaurant. Rouffignac for daily shopping, banks, restaurants and Sunday market is three miles away and Montignac 10 miles away. Medieval Sarlat is 20 miles away and the Vézère valley with its perhistoric interest, caves and museums on the doorstep.

Set in rural seclusion though not isolated, the property is completely private, its one neighbour tucked out of sight. The views from its elevated position are over a superb Périgord hillside landscape sloping down towards the valley and the village. A spectacular focal point to the outlook is a typical, turreted Périgourdine chateau. Pastureland by the house has been reclaimed as landscaped gardens and lawns with a choice of seating terraces with ample garden furniture and covered barbecue area ideal for two families. Beyond the grounds are peaceful woodland walks within the private boundary. The fenced pool is located privately, just above the house. Table tennis and a badminton set provided and there is a boules pitch.

The period farmhouse, beautifully restored and tastefully updated to a high standard, has a large comfortably furnished living room with large stone fireplace, heavily beamed ceiling and space for dining, HiFi/DVD, TV with English channels. The kitchen is large enough for full scale informal meals with a refectory table as well as a large range-style cooker, microwave, dishwasher, stainless steel fridge freezer and stylish units and work surfaces. There is a fully equipped laundry room (washing machine, dryer and second fridge) and a ground floor bathroom and separate wc. Upstairs are four bedrooms; two king size doubles, quietly placed at either end of the house, one double and one twin, and a bathroom and separate wc .
