Description
About a mile and a half from the picturesque village of Plazac with its boulangerie, café/bar, post office and tennis courts. Under three miles from Rouffignac for daily shopping, banks, restaurants and Sunday market, and about 10 miles to Montignac with the caves of Lascaux nearby. A similar distance to Les Eyzies and 20 miles to medieval Sarlat with the Dordogne valley just beyond.
Set on a hillside in some 14 acres of private wooded grounds which provide rural seclusion and endless possibilities for peaceful woodland walks. There are panoramic views down the valley and over the lake below which can be enjoyed from the wood deck terrace which, with its garden furniture and barbecue, is perfect for ‘al fresco’ meals. The pool (11x4.5m) is set above the house to catch the sun throughout the day; surrounded by wood decking and with ample sun loungers and poolside shower, it is the perfect place to relax.
Highlights
The house and barn have been restored to a high standard. The main house has a living room, comfortably furnished with several pieces of antique furniture and has a large open fireplace and television. At one end is the dining area and well equipped kitchen with mixed gas/electric hob, combination oven with microwave, fridge/freezer and dishwasher. Basement laundry room with washing machine and ironing board. Upstairs, under the eaves, is a most attractive double/twin bedroom with vanity unit, shower and wc. The adjoining barn houses two further comfortable bedrooms, one double/twin and one twin; on ground level, each with shower and vanity unit but sharing a separate wc. Cleaning products and pool towels 40 Euros per stay. Telephone for incoming and local calls only. Bed, household linen and towels are included.
