To the east of the well preserved bastide of Monflanquin, lies this restored 17th Century mill which is now a beautiful and comfortable family home. Whilst no longer a working mill, its legacy is obvious with original features much in evidence and the sound of the river flowing under the house into the still and tranquil mill pond on the other side. You are immediately struck by the bright and airy feel of the spacious living accommodation where crisp white walls, a red hexagonal tiled floor and an ornamental fireplace set the tone. Imagine lounging here on one of the plump sofas or upright leather chairs, where a balcony through double glass doors looks over the mill pond, whilst on the other side windows open on to the pretty gardens. The kitchen, with its central island of units, is resplendent with its striking chequerboard of red and white floor tiles. A bridge spanning the river leads to the pool area set in well tended grounds composed of mature trees, an expanse of lawn and a variety of plants and flowers. Should you wish to leave this spot, the nearest bakery, part of a working flour mill, is 1km away. All other amenities can be found in Monflanquin (4km). Throughout the summer, a variety of concerts and fetes take place here and in the other nearby 'bastides'.
