Set in 32 acres of forest and woodland in the heart of the Dordogne, this character property was built in 1780. There is something for everyone at Les Amandiers. A large covered terrace with valley views, overlooks the pool and provides shelter. The grounds encompass tranquil woodland walks, lake with fishing, a grass tennis court and pool. There is a games room and well-stocked library. There is a rustic feel to the property, which the charming owners have nurtured with period country furniture and French style décor. Les Amandiers is ideally located to explore the Dordogne, from picturesque Sarlat to the prehistoric caves at Lascaux. The village of Villamblard is nearby for morning croissants. Caretakers live on site to help if requested. Catering on request and subject to availability.

Main House: First floor/entry level: Living room traditional wood burning stove. Country kitchen, dining area, large inglenook fireplace. Upper terrace overlooking pool. 2 double bedrooms (1.40m), interlocking doors. Bathroom, separate shower, WC.
Ground floor: via classic wooden spiral staircase: Library/TV room(TV, DVD, video ). Master double bedroom (1.40m), access to lower patio. Twin bedroom accessed either through the master bedroom or externally, shower room & WC. Double bedroom (1.40m), children's single bedroom with a short wooden boat-style bed, shower room, WC.
Separate Studio: Living room (TV, CD Stereo), kitchen, patio area. Double bedroom(1.40m), twin bedroom, shower room, bathroom.
Second studio available on request

Double bedroom, shower room, WC, galley kitchen, outside decking (no living area).

(The owners reserve the right to use this studio if not booked). Access to the second studio passes in front of the inclusive studio.
Games room in barn loft. Half size snooker table, table tennis, various games, croquet set.
Grounds: Enclosed heated pool. Grass tennis court. Lake (not enclosed) for fishing. Children should be supervised at all times. Walled croquet lawn, enclosed swimming pool. Barbecue (restrictions at certain times of year due to local fire regulations.)

Extras: Heating, pool heating (max 28 degrees), telephone, gas for barbecue. Second studio for 1 extra person, £150 per week supplement.
