The fruit orchards that cover the gentle rolling countryside of the Lot-et-Garonne create a pretty picture when in blossom and the fruit fills the stalls at the local markets. La Maison Rolans sits within the grounds of one such fruit estate. With its own private pool and garden, it has views across the orchards, lake and woodland that form the estate. One of the old farm buildings has been completely restored and divided into two comfortable houses that retain traditional features such as open stone walls and huge old fireplaces. Combined with modern facilities and colourful fabrics, the houses have a welcoming atmosphere. Ideal for two families holidaying together, naturally we guarantee to let the property to only one group at any one time. An expanse of lawn separates the house from a large covered dining terrace,with the splendid pool in front. Fumel (7km) and Tournon d'Agenais (6km), a pretty bastide town, provide a wide variety of amenities and restaurants. From Fumel, follow the road alongside the River Lot, passing pretty stone villages such as Puy-L'Evêque. Alternatively take a boat trip on the river itself until you reach Cahors, famous for its excellent wines.
