Le Luc-en-Provence, 10 km, a Provençal village near the red sandstone Massif des Maures, has good range of shops, karting, nearby golf, and picturesque old quarter with C16th hexagonal tower. La Garde Freinet, also 10 km, offers cafés and restaurants as well as supermarket shopping. Interesting variety of day trips possible including famous chic resort of St Tropez just 35 km, sandy beach at Les Issambres 50 km, or Europe’s own spectacular “grand canyon”, with turquoise river Verdon flowing at the base, 55 km. Lovely lake Ste Croix, situated at the western end of Verdon gorges, makes a good spot for a picnic and has windsurfing, water-skiing and pedaloes. Good walking opportunities in this beautiful area with lavender fields and vineyards producing rosé Côtes-de-Provence wines. International airports Toulon 65 km/Nice 95 km.
