Manoir St Quintin is an original Dower House situated within the Chateau grounds at St Quintin-sur-Sioule. Set on the banks of the River Sioule, the chateau remains a family home but the Dower House has been beautifully refurbished to provide a luxurious holiday home in this delightful part of the Auvergne.
The Manoir enjoys all the benefits the chateau grounds have to offer - acres of parkland for wonderful walks, river fishing, a private tennis court, boules and even children's swings.
Ebreuil is an ancient fortified town built around a large abbey. There is a selection of shops and restaurants and a weekly market. The cultural towns of Vichy and Clermont-Ferrand are well worth a visit, and guided tours of both towns run throughout the summer from the tourist offices.
This area is known as Puy de Dome, named after the highest volcano in the area, which has an exhibition centre, café and restaurant at its 1465 metre high summit. Puy de Lemptegy offers the chance to walk into a volcano, whilst Vulcania offers the newest concept in scientific theme park.
There is plenty to occupy the more active among you, from canoeing the Gorges de la Sioule, to abseiling through the trees at the excellent Parc Ecureil or horse riding in Ebreuil.

Ground floor: Dining room with picture windows overlooking the chateau and tennis court, well equipped kitchen, door to garden, 2 guest WCs. The kitchen leads through a utility room into a self-contained area with: Small sitting room, door to garden. Fully equipped 2nd kitchen, 2 double bedrooms, family bathroom with separate shower & WC.
First floor: Large living room (TV, DVD, CD, broadband internet), high beamed ceiling, impressive central chimney stack with open fireplace, arched window with view towards the chateau, twin/double bedroom (2 x 0.90m or 1.80m), views of chateau, ensuite shower room, WC, 3 double bedrooms, each with views of chateau and ensuite shower room, WC.
Grounds: 100 acres of enclosed parkland with mature trees. Outdoor dining terrace, barbecue. The heated pool is 3 mins walk along a private path from the Manoir, on the other side of the chateau. Portable DVD player available for use by pool. Pool house with drinks fridge, shower & WC, and a gazebo for shade. Private tennis court adjacent to Manoir.
Please note: Children must be supervised at all times in the grounds - there is an 11th century chapel yet to be rebuilt, fish ponds by the entrance gates and the river Sioule (which can be fast flowing in winter) runs alongside the chateau.
